Tucker and Dale vs Evil (2010)

“These kids are coming out here, and killing themselves all over the woods.” -Tucker

Back when Tucker and Dale vs Evil came out, I heard good things about it, but for some reason, I never got around to it, and I forgot all about it. It seemed to me like a slasher horror flick, although with some comedy thrown in, it didn’t peak my interest too much.

Then I finally got around to it, and it was excellent. So fitting with the theme of the movie, my first impression of it back when it came out, was way off the mark. The story is one about being yourself and not judging a book by its cover. It is also about reversing stereotypical roles, and seeing past our prejudices.

Tucker and Dale vs Evil exciting, hilarious and at times very moving. Tyler Labine and Alan Tudyk are excellent in the roles of the two misunderstood hillbillies who just wants to be left alone on their vacation to the a cabin in the woods. But it is not to be, as a group of bratty college kids mistake them for psycho killers.

And hilarity ensues.

Hey, that wasn’t our fault! (Tucker & Dale vs Evil, 2010)
